Technical delivery

This website runs on a Linux VPS hosted by STRATO GmbH, Otto-Ostrowski-Straße 7, 10249 Berlin, in Europe. Requests involve processing your IP address, time of access, requested resources and technical browser information to deliver and protect the website. The legal basis is Article 6(1)(f) GDPR; our legitimate interest is secure website operation.

Cookies, analytics and external content

The public onepager sets no cookies, uses no analytics or advertising services and stores no preferences in your browser. Images and design assets are served from our own server. External websites such as smoss are contacted only when you follow a link.

Email contact

If you email me or use the contact form, I process the information you provide to handle your inquiry. The form sends your name, email address and message through our own encrypted mail service to hello@denisthiel.com. It creates no message database. Short-lived signed single-use tokens and non-reversible checksums are processed in memory to prevent abuse; message contents are not logged. The legal basis is Article 6(1)(b) GDPR for contractual or pre-contractual inquiries, and otherwise Article 6(1)(f) GDPR. The information is deleted once the inquiry is resolved and no retention requirements remain.

Your rights

Subject to applicable conditions, you may request access, rectification, erasure, restriction of processing and data portability (Articles 15–20 GDPR). You may object to processing based on legitimate interests for reasons relating to your particular situation (Article 21 GDPR). Contact hello@denisthiel.com. You may also complain to a supervisory authority, including the North Rhine-Westphalia data protection authority.
